Overview
You may face an issue where you have nested links on a page or several pages of your school website and whenever you click on some of these links, they don't load and you get a 403 Forbidden error. (You could also receive a privacy warning, but if they choose to access the site you will get the same error.)
Solution
To solve this issue, the nested links (URLs) that don't load will need to be manually changed on each page as they are pointing to older links.
Please note that you must have webmaster rights in order to do these steps. If not, you can ask any Webmaster to provide the same rights to you. You should also have the correct URLs that must be nested before proceeding.
Perform the following steps:
- Go to the Site Center.
- Select the page where the non-working nested links are present. If the page is located under a minisite (like on the image below), you need to click on the minisite first and then select the page.
- Click on edit
- Go to the nested link, double click on it, and click on Web
- Change the URL to the correct one so the link directs to it. Do the same for all the nested links that are not working on the page
- Click on Publish the changes.
