Overview
You are being onboarded as a Webmaster who will be working with a school to manage it's School Loop website. In order to do that, you will need to be registered with that school and then, get the suitable rights to start working with it's School Loop website.
Solution
With the purpose of getting a new account setup and editing the School Loop website, below are the steps that need to be followed -
- Creating a School Loop Account
In the School Loop system, Staff, Principal, Assistant Principal, Associate, and Admin accounts have to be created by a user with Admin rights. These rights are provided to System Admins, Principals, and Assistant Principals of the school. The School Loop Support Team cannot create accounts for users.
So, in order to create your account, please contact your school's Principal, Assistant Principal, or System Admin. In case they need assistance in creating your account, they can refer to our article Creating New User Accounts in School Loop.
- Acquiring Webmaster Rights
On School Loop, all users cannot edit the School Loop website. Only the users that have Webmaster rights are able to edit the site. These rights are granted to users only at the discretion of the school and the School Loop Support Team cannot give these rights to anyone. These rights can only be granted by other users with Webmaster rights at the school. This is explained in our article Requesting Webmaster Access to Website.
Thus, you need to reach out to a user with Webmaster rights at your school. They can use our article Providing Site Webmaster Rights - Guide for Site Webmasters to give you the Webmaster rights.
Confirmation
Once you have your account created with the Webmaster rights assigned, you will be able to edit and manage the school's School Loop website.
Below are some points to get you familiar with the editing of websites -
