Overview
Webmasters need to modify the information or format of the top or bottom site wrappers. They are visible on every school site in the district. Wrappers usually contain information about district address, phone, site, and policies. Do not confuse between header and footer and top or bottom site wrappers, the top site wrapper is part of the header and the bottom one is part of the footer:
Prerequisites
- You have a School Loop account with Senior District Webmaster rights.
Note: If not, you can ask your Senior District Webmaster to provide the same rights to you.
Solution
- Log in to your School Loop account with Senior District Webmaster rights.
- From Toolbox, select Admin Center.
Note: If this option is missing, you do not have Senior District Webmaster rights. - Select the District Modules tab.
- Select the module you want to edit and click Edit.
- Bottom Wrapper - Usually includes District name, address, phone number, and link to the site. Also, it may include links to district policies (non-discrimination, accessibility, etc.).
- Top Wrapper - Usually includes the name of the School District, its logo, and the menu with all school sites in the district.
- Bottom Wrapper - Usually includes District name, address, phone number, and link to the site. Also, it may include links to district policies (non-discrimination, accessibility, etc.).
- Make the required changes to the wrappers.
- By default, each wrapper consists of one or several text modules. Please refer to the article about Text modules (step 6) for more information about editing them. The only difference is that the text modules in district wrappers have the Embed CSS feature.

- Once you finish updating the wrappers, click Save & Exit.
- Once saved, these changes are applied to all school sites in the district, but not the district site itself. This behavior is intentional.
- If you wish for these changes to also be applied to the district site:
- Access the District's Site Center using a District Admin account with Senior Webmaster rights.
- Select the homepage and start editing. On the left side, select the Edit Header and Footer option.
- Since the Bottom Wrapper is a module, you will have to scroll down to it and select it by clicking on it. Once selected, an additional settings bar will be added to the top of the page.
- Scroll back up, and under Visibility select Show on district site. The default will be Hide on district site.
Confirmation
Once you have updated the wrappers, open any school site from your district or click to open the District site.
The top and the bottom wrappers should reflect the updated information.
Note: It may take 3-5 minutes to update the wrappers for each site.
