Overview
Users may be spammed by multiple password reset emails which they haven't requested. Emails including a temporary password are sent every few minutes. After ten failed attempts, the user receives a password reset email:
Solution
This behavior is seen for In the Loop extension for Google Chrome. Other 3rd-party extensions may cause the same issue if they are trying to log in automatically into your School Loop account.
You need to uninstall the extension that is causing the issue:
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click on the Extensions icon in the top right corner and select Manage Extensions.
- Click Remove under the In the Loop extension (or select another 3rd-party extension for School Loop that you are using).
- Confirm the removal by clicking on Remove.
Repeat the above steps for any other extensions that could be causing this issue.
