Overview
You need to upload a file to the School Loop portal to share it with other users (e.g., in a group, submit it as an assignment, or provide to students as an additional learning material for a course). Locker is a feature that you can use to upload, store, and share files and documents.
Prerequisites
You have a registered student or school staff member account.
Note: Parents do not have lockers. But they can access classroom lockers.
Solution
- Log in to your School Loop account.
- Click My Locker at the top of the page.
- Select a locker to which you want to add a file:
- My Lockers - Files are available only to the owner.
- Course Lockers - Files are available to students and teachers for the course. Students can only view files, while teachers can add, edit, and delete files.
- Group Lockers - Files are available for all members of the corresponding group.
- User Site Lockers - Files are available to the owner of the user site (e.g., "My Website" for a teacher).
- Website Lockers - Files are available to school site webmasters.
- Click Add and select File.
Note: You can also add a Link or a Folder. - Browse and select the required file on your computer and click Open.
Note: Files cannot be larger than 500 Mb and filenames cannot contain any of the following symbols:% ^ & + { } | \
- The Upload Complete message is displayed. Click Minimize This Window.
Confirmation
Once the file is uploaded, you can click on its name; the file is downloaded and you can review its content to make sure it is accessible to other users.
