Overview
Once parents have completed their registration for a student, they can easily add other students in the same school to their accounts. If the parents have students in different schools, they will need to create a separate account for each school. This article shares the process for parents to add more students to their registered accounts in School Loop.
Prerequisites
You are a parent with a registered School Loop Parent account.
Note: Student accounts do not have the feature to add or link other student accounts.
Solution
Follow these steps to add more students to your parent account:
- Log into your parent account in School Loop.
- Click the Add Student button in the My Students box at the top right side of your Portal Page.
- Type in the student’s ID number.
- Type the student’s first name and last name.
- Click Register Now.
Note: Some parents may have created multiple accounts at the same school. It is best to streamline and delete all duplicate accounts.
Switching Views for Students
All your students appear in the My Students section. Click on a student's name to view information for the selected student. The student's information will show on your homepage with the word Displaying next to their name, as seen in the screenshot below.
Note: Depending on the school's policy, adding a second student may require that your account be re-approved to view grades.
Students at Different Schools
If your children attend different schools, you will need to register and create an account at each school. There is no way currently available to link student accounts from other schools in the web version of School Loop. However, the School Loop mobile app allows you to combine accounts from different schools.
Note:Parent accounts at all schools will need to be approved by the respective school before adding those students on the mobile app.
Confirmation
Names of students whose accounts have been added show in the My Students section of the parent account.
