Scaled Grading is used to convert percentage scores to letter grades. The chosen grade scale will appear in the progress report for teachers, students, and their parents.
This article outlines the steps on how to apply configured grade scales to the gradebook settings that are available to teachers in School Loop (SL) Plus. Teachers can also create custom grade scales that will appear in the progress reports for students and parents.
Important: Published progress reports are not automatically updated when you change the gradebook settings. Republish the progress reports, if necessary.
To apply the default grade scale to a gradebook:
Log in to your SL Plus account as a teacher.
Click the Settings or gear icon ( ) at the top-right corner of the page.
Select one of your gradebooks (e.g., SUP ENG 2) in the GRADEBOOK SETTINGS section:
In the GRADE SCALES (UNIVERSAL) section, click the Go button:
Choose the Grading Scale for your selected gradebook.
Click the Submit button to confirm:
The configured grade scale should be applied to your selected gradebook (e.g., SUP ENG 2):
Note: If you have multiple gradebooks configured under one course, the changes will only apply to the gradebook you have selected, even if the gradebook is in the mid-school year.
