Overview
One or more assignments that were published in Google Classroom are not appearing in the corresponding Gradebook in School Loop. You tried going into School Loop setting and synchronizing them, but the sync is not working.
Solution
You are a Teacher who has linked their School Loop and Google Classroom accounts and is running into this issue after adding assignments in google classroom. Following are the 4 things to consider:
- Ensure to import assignments during the setup process between School Loop and Google Classroom.
- Only assignments due on or after you established linking will be imported.
- School Loop checks for new assignments every 5 minutes. So, if you have published an assignment in Google Classroom, wait for at least 5 minutes before checking for the same assignment in School Loop. Because of the above, changing the due dates of the assignments in Google Classroom to a date after the link was done can address the issue. Once the date has been modified, waiting for 5 minutes will ensure that assignments are synchronized with School Loop.
- If you are a co-teacher/long-term sub, make sure that you have a teacher account and not a staff account. Staff accounts integrating google classroom with School Loop will lead to a failure in syncing. This is also listed as a prerequisite and the first step in the article: Integrating Gradebooks with Google Classroom.
This issue may be due to the way these assignments were created in google classroom. You can create the missing assignments manually in School Loop to solve the issue by following the steps in the article Publishing Assignments.
If you are unable to create them manually because there are many for example, create a support ticket and our agents will troubleshoot the issue. Please note that it's likely that the support team will need to schedule a remote session because they don't have visibility over your google classroom account.
