Overview

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a type of web feed which allows users and applications to access updates to online content in a standardized, computer-readable format.

These feeds will enable a user to keep track of many different websites in a single news aggregator.

The article details the process of accessing the RSS feed URL to use with RSS aggregator applications or an RSS module for the website.

Process

To subscribe to the RSS feed:

  1. Click on the RSS icon for any of your news modules:

  2. Paste the URL of the page into your favorite RSS reader (User interface may vary. However, there's always a place to enter the URL of the RSS feed).

By adding an RSS feed from the district site and an RSS module on the school site, you can display the news from your district site on any of your school sites.

Confirmation

Once you add the URL to your favorite RSS reader or RSS module, you subscribe to RSS feeds for that particular site. You will soon start receiving the RSS feed news.
