Overview
All content on School websites needs to be ADA and Section 508 compliant. To make Badges added to your site compliant, you need to make sure that the text on the button clearly describes the content of the link to which the badge is leading.
Prerequisites
You have webmaster rights and there is a badge module added to your school site.
Solution
- Open the page where the video is located by following the Editing Pages article.
- Make sure that the badge has a meaningful description.
- Do not use ambiguous button text like Learn More:
- The button text needs to describe the content of the link. Even without the images in the badges, users should not be missing any content.
- If there is a text on the image, you should enter the same text for the button.

- To update a badge module, right-click on it and click on the button text:
- Enter a new descriptive text for the badge.
- Once done, click Publish Changes at the top of the page.
Confirmation
Open the page on your school site where the updated module is located. It should be displayed with the new button text.
