This function allows teachers to move and merge a class or a section from one course to another. This is usually done at the beginning of a school term.
- Navigate to the Manage Sections link in the Quick Links section of the Portal Homepage.
Note: Assignments and grades cannot be moved from one course to another. If there is an existing assignment for that section, the Move and Merge button is made inactive. It is still possible to move sections if you are willing to re-enter assignments and scores. The site administrator needs to move the sections for you in this case. Keep in mind that if you move a section out of the course, you are moving it away from any existing assignments or scores that you have already entered.
- Click the Move & Merge button of the section you wish to move.
- Check the button next to the course you want to move the section into.
- Click the Submit button.
The students in that section will now be part of the Gradebook for that course.
