Overview
District Admins need to check if the data from SIS is uploaded to School Loop on a daily or nightly basis and if it includes new records.
This is useful to investigate issues when new sections, teachers, or students who were added to the SIS are not reflected in School Loop at the beginning or during school year.
Prerequisites
You need to have a District Admin account.
Solution
- Log in to your School Loop account.
- From the Toolbox, select School Site List.
- Click on the name of the required school.
- Locate the Imports section - it contains all data that was uploaded and processed during the previous 30 days.
The latest data import is displayed at the top of the list. Each import contains the following details:- Date and time when the import was created and processed by the server.
Created and Modified dates are usually the same; the Modified date may differ if the School Loop server restarted at the same time when data import was running and processed this task later. - The total number of teachers, students, courses, and sections in School Loop after the import.
Note: The total number does not decrease when certain students, teachers, courses, or sections are removed from SIS and data import files. - The number in parenthesis indicates the number of new records added to the system during the import. If this number is 0, it means that no new items were added - old data may have been loaded.
If there were no imports for a few days or the import was processed but the new data from SIS is not displayed, you need to investigate the data import issues further.
- Date and time when the import was created and processed by the server.
