Overview
Students and parents cannot access School Loop, and teachers are unable to review their new schedules, trackers, and send messages to students after the school sites are rolled to prepare for the new year (approximately 10 days before the first day) and until the first day of school. However, Admins can enable student access to the portal and teachers' access to gradebooks and LoopMail.
Prerequisites
- You have a District or School Admin account.
- You have imported data for the new school year and completed other mandatory tasks.
Solution
- Log in to your School Loop account.
- District Admins need to open the required school.
School Admins should proceed to step 3
- Open School Site List.
- On the next page, open the required school.
- Open School Site List.
- From the Toolbox, select School Settings.
- Click Go under Access and Registration Management.
- Locate the Login Settings section.
- Click Change to enable or disable the desired option (by default, they are disabled):
- Allow Faculty to See Schedules Before First Day of School - Enable this option to allow teachers to review their schedule before start of the school year.
- Allow Parent and Student Access before the First Day of School - Enable this option to allow students and parents to access School Loop before the first day.
Confirmation
After completing step 4, the setting is marked as enabled:
Also, after completing new school year tasks, you can ask teachers to log into School Loop and check if their schedules are visible on the portal.
