Moving to SLS2 means your sites will have a modern design and work well and mobile phones. Most important, thought, it that you can rest easy knowing that you sites a built on templates and a system that is certified 508 compliant
That all being side, transition is always a challenge. We recognize that and will balance that reality with the need to only support certified 508 sites.
We will want to stop supporting SLS1 as soon as we can. We have been saying that we would expect districts to convert within 90 days of we gaining 508 certification. We are going to extend that to within 90 days of both certification and the proven ability of sites to convert and launch easily. We have just published documentation on launching a site, and it will take several weeks for us to get fully clear on this.
We will need to continue to support SLS1 for a while, but we soon will need to make an end-of-life call. This probably will be for the start of the school year or just beyond.
