Navigation menus in SLS2 are designed for clarity without clutter. To illustrate, let's start with a simple sitemap:
The main navigation bar only includes the level 1 sections. The drop menu for a level 1 section only goes down to level 2 sections.
Interior page navigation includes breadcrumb links showing the path to the current page and side navigation links that only go down to the next lower level.
When a user navigates down into a level 2 section, the breadcrumb navigation displays the entire path. The side navigation menu display only the pages at that level and stops at the next level down.
Even at the deepest level section in this example, the breadcrumb navigation allows the user to navigate up to any higher level section while the side navigation menu remains uncluttered.
