Next Release: June 13, 2018
June 13 release is a maintenance release only.
User Sites - SLS2 Interface
Users will have the option of upgrading their personal website interface to SLS2. More details to follow.
This new feature will make it easy to find and fix broken links, and will warn of issues when saving a new link. We'll be reaching out to a few districts to beta test this before broadly releasing it.
We're adding a new format and making it possible to not use the banner on individual slides.
Easy Badge Module Image Selection
Instead of a separate library, you'll be able to browse the images in the library right from the module - similar to selecting an image from the locker.
Full Month Calendar
All of our calendars will once again have a link to a full month calendar as existed in the previous version of our CMS. The link will take users to a new page where the full month calendar takes up the entire page.
508 Compliance Checker
Our templates have been certified as WCAG 2.0 AA compliant and now we're taking the next step to build tools that check webmaster's work for compliance. More details to follow.
Scaled Grading Option
Long Beach Unified is piloting a new scaled grading system. The objective is reduce the dramatic over-weighting of zeros on summary grades and thus provide clear and more equitable measure of student achievement.
Reverting Homepage to an earlier version is slow
If you need to revert your home page to an earlier version via the homepage history, please give it time to run through the process, which could take 10 minutes or longer. Once you click the "Save as Draft" button, do not click it a second time as this could corrupt your homepage.
Incorrect style applied to some titles
Our last release included a bug that could cause some titles to take on the wrong styling. To correct the styling issue, edit the "Title Format" of the affected module. Simply check a different radio button and then choose the desired alignment.
Conversion can take a while, making it look broken
Big sites and many locker documents can take hours to convert. If you try to work on your site while it is converting, it won't like that. We are discussing interface changes to disallow Site Center access during conversion, but until then, please be patient.
Cannot make students or parents editors or contributors
We will be addressing a spate of user account issues soon, but not in the next few releases. The workaround is to give these users associate accounts.
Creating a site map (page directory)
You need to add this yourself to SLS2. Here's how to create a link to your site map.
Do Not Delete Emergency News Module!
A bug has exposed too many toolbar items in the District Modules tab to Senior District Webmasters, including delete. It is fixed in the next release. Please do not delete your emergency news module! We will be removing those tool with the next release.
